The Voice 2016 auditions continued experience
They also check your bags if you have any and scan you to make sure you don't have anything dangerous. Such as sharp objects, even self sticks are banned! After getting through all of that they'd take us down a hallway and down another escalator which led to another long line, that led into a room full of chairs and other auditioners. It was loud, people were practicing. Also I forgot to mention that some finalists were there from the other seasons. I didn't know them but it was cool.
Auditions story continued...
So we waited in the warm hotel nearby then at about 930ish we went outside to wait in line. Luckily it was moving faster than I expected. But seriously it was freezing! And that could ruin our voices. Anyways before getting inside they ask for your age then let you through. Then they check your ID to see your age. We had to travel up this escalator which led to a room with a long line. We stood there for almost 2 hours. Really long line! But not as worse as American idol. Afterwards they lead you to another line and then check your signed artist account, age vertification, then give you a hand stamp and cutt able bracelt.
Day of the audition (February 20) - The Voice 2016 Auditions
So I didn't get any sleep since I was still congested from when I was still sick and had earache. I tossed and turned trying to sleep but sadly I didnt. We woke up 530am, dressed up and headed downstairs for breakfast. The food was okay..I mostly ate toast though. We left around 7 something and apparently when we got to the location it was still early to go in for 11am auditions. Also it was really hard to figure out where to park so we parked in a place where we would pay for parking. It costs $31.00 for the amount of time we were there by the end of the day. Luckily there was a hotel Hampton Inn across the street where we could use the computers and wait in the lobby for free. I spent my time there trying to rest and also used the restroom to touch up my makeup. Waiting and waiting til the right time. Of course I'd have to line up before my actual audition time before the line gets really long. I also saw lots of audioners in the hotel too.
The night before the audition (The Voice 2016)
We got to the hotel Quality inn which was 25 min. Away from the audition location. That night I got all my stuff ready and prepared. We were hungry so we ordered food from a local diner. I ordered Spaghetti with meatballs because I thought of Papyrus! Also got a Soup du jour, a salad, and chocolate pudding. Yummy! I also made sure to do my facial routine before I went to bed.
