My "THE VOICE AUDITION EXPERIENCE"
Hey guys so I'm back home and unfortunately I did not get to pass on to the next round. So here's what happened: My audition with many more contestants had to be there 2pm. So I woke up around 8:30am today got ready and beautified myself and left for New York (Javits Ceneter). The waiting line was outside, the line was long but not too long until other people lined up behind us. Thats when it became really long. After the 11am people came out it was our turn to line up under the buildings shade outside where we each lined up in a row of four. Minors were allowed to bring one parent. Also, in order for you to get inside the doors you need a valid id on your age and your Artist audition pass. The guy who asked me what my age was, was really shocked when I told him how old I was. He said that he thought I was really younger than that. LOL!!! Also inside the building when you enter they have a bag check to make sure you didnt bring anything dangerous. Afterwards they lead you to an information booth where they staple your audition pass to your signed papers and double check to make sure. And also give you a red the voice wristband/thumbs up tattoo. Then they lead your to your seats..While we were all sitting down in rows across from other rows of chairs across the room, we decided to loosen up and have a little fun singing together and competing with people on the other side. It was actually quite fun and amusing! The guy sitting two seats away from me had been there several times, a girls sister who was also auditioning said it was her 3rd time to try out and still didnt get in. The chances of any one person getting in was like 1 out of 20. Very slim. A lot of us were tired out from singing for fun and waiting to get to perform for the judge. While they went out to eat we waited more than what the time we were supposed to go in was. Instead of 2pm sharp we got in later. What was nerveracking was that there was so many people there. When I whole group/ rows was called they lead us up a stairway and into a hallway with arrows pointing which way to go. We each went into separate rooms of groups of 10 people. Thats when they cut off our wristbands and sent us each into separate rooms where there was only 1 judge. She had yellow blond hair, a bad tan, and her attitude was kind of bad. I had no expectations to get through in the first place. We each went up one by one to sing in front of her, I noticed most of the time she would just look at her computer or not have any reaction at all. She barely even gave much attention to the really good singers either. At the end when were done she told all of us "I'm sorry but none of you will be going to the next round" and that was it. Hosnestly I was shocked because some people in my room were amazing and she didnt pass them. Coming out I headed straight down the halway where it lead to the entrance of javits and that was that. Even though I didn't pass I got the best gift ever for my birthday. To eat Korean Barbecue and eat at another place called Cafe Bene in Koreatown Ny. Having to be able to try out for THE VOICE on my birthday was a nice experience. I'm not dissapointed in myself nor feel sad for not passing, for me that means this is not for me and that there are plenty other things out there I can audition for. They don't deserve me 😂 Whatever I don't pass I always have a backup plan :)
